The DNS filter that learns your home

Warda blocks advertising, tracking and dangerous sites for every device of your home — phones, computers, television, game consoles — and learns what your family really needs, without you having to maintain lists.

What Warda does

One box, and the whole home is protected

Protected from the first minute

A built-in list blocks advertising, trackers, malware and phishing as soon as Warda is installed. Nothing to configure, nothing to import.

It learns, you decide

Warda watches the requests of your network and suggests what to block, with its context: which device, just after what. It never blocks on its own.

Made for the family

One profile per person, adapted to their age, with safe search for everyone. Children and teenagers are protected; adults stay free.

Three steps

How it works

Warda runs on a small box of your home (a Raspberry Pi, a virtual machine or Docker) and answers the DNS requests of every device. Your router hands its address to the network; from then on, each request goes through Warda before reaching the Internet.

  1. 1

Install Warda: a ready image for the Raspberry Pi, a Docker image or a Debian package.

  2. 2

The assistant detects your router and your network, and asks you to confirm.

  3. 3

Your devices are protected, and Warda starts learning.

The dashboard

It learns, you decide

Each suggestion comes with its context: the device, the time, the request that came just before. Nothing is blocked without you.

Try it: block or ignore a suggestion.

Advertising and tracking blocked. Adults are never watched.

Privacy

Private by design

Warda works at home: the history of your requests never leaves your network. Its code is open (AGPLv3), and the requests sent to the Internet are encrypted by default.

  • Runs at home
On your Raspberry Pi, virtual machine or Docker server.
  • Open source
Free software under the AGPLv3 licence.
  • Encrypted by default
DNS over HTTPS or TLS to the Internet, validated with DNSSEC.
  • No cookie, no tracker
Not on this site either: no audience measurement.
