Open beta · subscription offered to testers during the beta test period

The network-wide ad blocker that learns your home

Warda blocks advertising, tracking and dangerous sites for every device of your home — phones, computers, television, game consoles — and learns what your family really needs, without you having to manage lists yourself: you simply switch on the protections you want.

What Warda does

One box, and the whole home is protected

Protected from the first minute

A built-in list blocks advertising, trackers, malware and phishing as soon as Warda is installed. Nothing to configure, nothing to import.

It learns, you decide

Warda watches the requests of your network and suggests what to block, with its context: which device, just after what. It never blocks on its own.

Made for the family

One profile per person, adapted to their age, with safe search for everyone. Children and teenagers are protected; adults stay free.

What Warda's counter counts, and how new lists are checked

Three steps

How it works

Warda runs on a small box of your home (a Raspberry Pi, a virtual machine or Docker) and answers the DNS requests of every device. Your router hands its address to the network; from then on, each request goes through Warda before reaching the Internet.

  1. 1

Install Warda: a ready image for the Raspberry Pi, a Docker image or a Debian package.

  2. 2

The assistant detects your router and your network, and asks you to confirm.

  3. 3

Your devices are protected, and Warda starts learning.

Protection

What Warda protects your home from

From the first minute, for every device of the house — even the TV, the console and the connected objects you cannot install anything on.

Scams and fake sites

Phishing pages, look-alike names such as аpple.com and fake support scams are stopped before the page opens.

Malware and spyware

Infected devices are cut off from their servers, stalkerware is blocked, and a suspicious device goes into quarantine in one click.

Children

A profile for each age, safe search on by default, and the VPNs and proxies used to go around the filter blocked.

Ads and trackers

Advertising, tracking and the telemetry of TVs and objects blocked on every device of the house.

Your network

Encrypted DNS, attacks on the router and the cameras stopped, ports open on the Internet checked every week.

Outside the home Subscription

Phones and laptops keep their rules on 4G and on other Wi-Fi networks, through Warda's online service (beta).

The dashboard

It learns, you decide

Each suggestion comes with its context: the device, the time, the request that came just before. Nothing is blocked without you.

Try it: block or ignore a suggestion.

Parental control at the DNS level: how it works

Privacy

Private by design

Warda works at home: the history of your requests never leaves your network. Its code is open (AGPLv3), and the requests sent to the Internet are encrypted by default.

  • Runs at home
On your Raspberry Pi, virtual machine or Docker server.
  • Open source
Free software under the AGPLv3 licence.
  • Encrypted by default
DNS over HTTPS or TLS to the Internet, validated with DNSSEC.
  • No cookie, no tracker
Not on this site either: no audience measurement.
  • Statistics in plain sight
Anonymous statistics, counted once a day: you see what they hold, when the last one was sent and when the next one goes, and turn them off in one click.
  • Collective base, if you want it
Off by default: only domain names leave, never who asked nor when.
